The install video on this page goes into more detail but those of you who have an F3T/Limited or the new 2020-21 RT know the problem we all have with loose mirrors and vibration. There are several ways to skin this cat and we came up with a fix that involved drilling and tapping a hole and using a bolt to wedge out the slop in the mirror. That worked but we never considered it a real or permanent fix. It was just a band-aid until we came up with a fix we were happy with.
Now we have something that works well and is pretty easy to install if you watch the video. This kit replaces the pins that snap in with a specially made stainless steel stud that is used with a stainless nut to lock the mirrors in so there is no slop in the mirror to mounting bracket. This eliminates the vibration in the mirrors at a very affordable price.

Mirror locks
Locks were super easy to install and totally eliminated the vibration shake I was experiencing with my left mirror.

Mirror Locks
Had tried the, tap and add a screw method. which worked well for awhile. After a 4500mile trip on some less than smooth two lane roads the mirrors were failing too keep a steady image. Have ordered a number of products from Lamonster and all have fit well and installed easily. Installed the Mirror Locks and OMG, I didn't realize how bad the view behind me had been. The five sets of headlights to the rear was now just one car and I know if it is near or far. This is about the best inexpensive item for your Spyder.

Great upgrade to a problem that should never have existed in the first place. Very easy install. The hardest part was getting the mirror cover off. I can say that after 500 miles since I installed them, no more vibration at all. Perfect fix

Mirror locks
By far the single best mod I’ve done to my 2020 SpYder F3L. My left mirror vibrated as soon as I brought the spyder home. I saw Lamont’s video and it looked easy enough(but always had in the back of my head that I’d be the one to screw up or break the mirror). I did the left side only because I didn’t think the right side vibrated. After the install I took the spyder out for a little night ride and couldn’t get over that there was absolutely no vibration in the right mirror. But, wow did I suddenly notice how much the right side mirror was vibrating. So I went home and installed the mirror locks on the right side. I’m amazed how easy they were to install(thanks to the step by step video instructions). Allin all the two mirrors took maybe 15-20 minutes to do. Thanks for having the mirror locks available. I’ve seen others, but nothing comes close to these
