The install video on this page goes into more detail but those of you who have an F3T/Limited or the new 2020-21 RT know the problem we all have with loose mirrors and vibration. There are several ways to skin this cat and we came up with a fix that involved drilling and tapping a hole and using a bolt to wedge out the slop in the mirror. That worked but we never considered it a real or permanent fix. It was just a band-aid until we came up with a fix we were happy with.
Now we have something that works well and is pretty easy to install if you watch the video. This kit replaces the pins that snap in with a specially made stainless steel stud that is used with a stainless nut to lock the mirrors in so there is no slop in the mirror to mounting bracket. This eliminates the vibration in the mirrors at a very affordable price.

2030 RT Mirror Locks
I couldn’t even use one of my mirrors at all because the vibration was so bad. I watched the install video and ordered the kit. It was super easy to install the locks with the help of the video. The first side took maybe 20 minutes including gathering the tools needed and setting up to do the job correctly. The other side was done in about 10 minutes. This absolutely fixes the vibration issue. Great product, materials, design, and instructions! Take my advice and watch the video instructions before and during installation. This makes it an easy and enjoyable task…and you will love the results! Oh yes….worth every penny. You will be hard pressed to purchase the components for much less and they won’t fit groves properly even if you do.

What a difference! Speeds over 45 to 50 MPH and the Left side mirror was just about useless. Now both mirrors hardly move at all. Any movement by hand is from the plastic material. Greate improvement and easy to install. Make sure to check out the install video!
