We stepped up our game at Lamonster Garage® and made a belt tensioner worthy of our Lamonster Garage® and IPS™ brand name.
We started with our signature twin bearing roller with oversized sealed bearings and roller to reduce roller rpm. This is the same roller we used on the oem tensioner that we've been selling for the last 3 years. We have thousands of these upgraded rollers in service with great user feedback. We see no reason to change something that works so well. This roller is still available as a replacement wear item just like brake pads. These should last 15000 to 20000 miles before needing replacement. We have customers with many more miles than that without replacement but it's a good idea to inspect the tensioner and roller at every tire change.
The torsion arm has been replaced with an anodized billet aluminum arm with twin bearings at the pivot point as opposed to a plastic arm with a bushing at the pivot point. This is a little overkill on our part but it's just as easy to make it bulletproof when you're starting from scratch. We also added a third mounting hole to allow the same part to work on the F3 and the RT. The holes are now slotted for easy of alignment when installing. A spacer will be provided for the RT and F3. This spacer goes under the bracket to allow of clearance of the frame member on the RT. The RT uses the center hole and the whole to the left of center and the F3 uses the center hole and the hole right of center (next to the pivot arm)and the spacer goes on top of the bracket on the F3.

Installing it was more involved than my F3S, but wasn't difficult. Ready for a 6000 mile round trip...

Belt tensioner for 2021 RTL
Rec'd the belt tensioner yesterday and installed it in the afternoon. Taking all the panels off was pretty involved and could not find any videos for removing left hand side panels only for right side, which helped some. Took about 1 1/2 hrs. to 2 hrs. to get the job done. Took the spyder out on first ryde today between rain showers. Have to say I was really impressed with the difference between how bad the vibrations were to what it was today: virtually no vibration at all on accelaration all the way up to 90 mph and deceleration, there was no vibration. Even believe the response to the throttle was better. I dont know why I started getting the severe vibration after getting the 2nd rear tire installed. Took it back and was told the belt tension was right where it should be, but he adjusted the belt tension up. He took it out for a test ryde and said it was a little better but could still notice the vibration, so he tightened the belt tension and had me take it out and it was a little better so left for home and when I got up to highway speed it was litterally no better than when I took it to him. Thanks to Lamonts belt tensioner I believe it's better than I it ever was even since it was new!! It's a really great product!!

IPS BELT TENSIONER FOR 2016 CAN-AM SPYDER RTS SE6
This belt tensioner by LA Monster Garage eliminated the vibration in my belt at high speeds. B**** I mean I could have went out and spent I think it's like 35 bucks for the BRP1 and it lasts a couple 1000 miles very cheap from what I've been told this is an awesome belt tensioner from LA Monster Garage if you've got vibration and you're built on your spider and I know when you hit 65, 70, 80 mph, buy this one and it will eliminate the vibration. Thanks LaMonster.

I had one of these on my 2014 RT limited for 14,000 miles. It eliminated the slight vibration usually felt around 40-45 mph when modulating the throttle. I order one for my 2023 Sea To Sky. Works ad advertised & proven durable.
