Product Description
Big Bike Parts® is known for its quality Plug ‘N Go electronic trailer wire harnesses and the protection they afford. Their newest Electronically Isolated Trailer Wire Harness for the Can-Am Spyder RT is no different. This harness isolates the load between the motorcycle and trailer through the use of four fully automatic circuit breakers to prevent electrical feedback. The heavy duty circuit board can handle a continuous 16 amp steady load, with further protection provided with a separate 15 amp inline fuse from the power source. Easily plugs into the OEM Can-Am RT wire harness with no on bike splicing required. Works with 5-pin trailer connectors, not included.

Wiring harness
If you are mechanically inclined, it's a fairly straightforward job... but it is invoved... especially having to connect to the battery (the harness goes in the back of the bike... the battery is in the front). Several pannels have to be taken off, etc. I installed mine and it works fine. The price was reasonable (and competitive). Service from Lamonster was exceptional.

Instructions are bad
Apparently all motorcycle owners are supposed to be young and able to see very small print. We are also supposed to be able toread between lines and see very poor photos. I doubt that is true given all the discussions on line. The main worry with this was how to route the wires to the battery. I finally figured it out, but a little help would have been nice. The other worry is, of course, one has to buy one’s own connectors for bike and trailer. I recognize these things are not universal, but why is the wiring not universal. The five pen I bought had virtually no wires that matched up the wires of the harness in color, purpose, name. I’m always baffled by parts that are common not having standard size and wiring. I guess this may be what is meant by the Zen of Motorcycle maintenance. One has to go with the flow.
