In The Begining Lamonster
So what is Lamonster Tales all about? This Blog is just a little taste of what's to come.
It's a place where I can tell you about how Lamont Bryden became "Lamonster" and later became known as the current owner and creator of the brand Lamonster and Lamonster Garage.
I've been in the motorcyle business since 1999 and before that I had a Mobile Welding business in San Diego for 16 years (Noahs Arc Welding). This blog will be about my life journey and my success and my failures. It will be The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Some of you will enjoy it and some will think it's a waste of time and you may be right. I'm doing this because right now I can use a reason to get up in the morning when I'm feeling like I do. This is already helping me and I hope some of the Blogs will help you.
The blogs will be mostly about the Can Am Spyder and how it's evolved through the years and how I worked with and for BRP for 10 wonderful years. Those that are new to the Spyder world might not know the history I had in the Spyder world. I started working with them in 2008. I had the chance to work with some amazing people during those years and made some life long friendships. I was heavily involved in the development of the fist Spyder RT and worked with marketing and the top Spyder technicians of the Can Am Spyder F3. Back then I knew things I couldn't talk about but reaaly wanted to. As a content creator that was very hard to do but I kept my word with them even though it was killing me. I did break some of the contract rules but they knew I would do that and they looked the other way because they really wanted to see what I could do even though I was told I couldn't modify the Spyder in any way. Those will be blogs I think that will keep you coming back for more. This was the first Spyder RT they gave me. That was serial #0001.
This is the first RT they gave me back in 2009. It was fully customized even though I signed contract with them that I wouldn't modify it. That just wasn't going to happen and in this pic I was riding with the VP and CEO of BRP and they didn't say anything other than they had a blast riding with on the Tail of the Dragon. I can tell you these guys were not "Suits" they were riders! I started off kinda slow just to show them I was being nice with the bike they gave me but they were right on my butt. I decided to crank it up a notch or two and see how they did. By the time I was running full out I realized I couldn't shake these guys. I've ridden that road over a hundred times and they just flew in from Valcourt Canado on the private jet 2 hours before and had never been on that road. That's when I knew these guys and BRP in general are the real deal. They push all their products to the limit! Hats off to them.

This video was from the dealer show when I was asked to customize it for the launch of the new Can-Am Spyder F3. I was involved with this bike from day one ant down with two of the head guys at BRP when they asked me what would I change if I was going to build a Spyder from scratch. That will be another Lamonster Tales Blog
I have a lot of friends and followers that have been with me from the Valkyrie days, M109 days, Boss Hoss days and a short time with the Honda Goldwing. I hit a deer shortly after I got done customizing it and it was totaled but that's another Lamonster Tale. Some of you Spyder guys won't care about that but I had over 100,000 members in the other clubs I ran back then and I plan on sharing that with them.
I'm also going to post a little bit about my Journey with cancer and liver failure. That's the real reason I wanted to start this Blog so you could look back and have a link to share if and when I'm no longer here to tell my story. I want to be remembered for the good times I've had with you all and to be able to share my Journey in a place other than Facebook. I still will be active on Facebook but instead of posting there only I can just a Lamonster Tales link.
I'll warn you right now that I will be mentioning what God has done and continues to do in my life. My goal to give give you all some encouraging words along the way.
Just to let you know Lamonster Garage will continue on long after I'm gone and my good friend and manager Jacob Tinker will keep running the store just as he has been since the day we started this started the store. We have plans to expand into other bikes and Side-by-Side Vehicals for folks that are looking for a company they can trust when they place an order. We're already doing well selling parts for other vehicles. We're very passionate about the sport and plan to take care of your needs wherther it's the Can-Am Spyder or you have more than one brand in the barn. Give us a shout first and let us see if we can help you.
Besure to share the Lamonster Tales links if you like what you've read or it's helped you in some way. Thanks for taking the time to read this far.
